Forever 21 top & bag, Topshop shorts, Aldo necklace & sandals
Hanging out at the local county fair deserved simple clothing that can render me mobile enough to romp around in, so that called for faux leather shorts and my new favorite sheer white top—basics with a slight funky twist. I really like these sandals in particular; the brown criss-cross design with the gold hardware is just too pretty.
As it was the first day of summer yesterday, we decided to head over for the first day of the Alameda County Fair. It was Pilot's first time at a fair (such a city boy)—a real fair, complete with ferris wheels, slightly sleazy people yelling to play their rigged games for a chance to win an outrageously huge stuffed animal, and deep fried everything. I haven't been to one since I was a child and I was still in awe of the bright lights and loud noises. Not to mention the too-horrible-and-artery-clogging-yet-delicious fair food!
We arrived just at the golden hour, in time to snap some pics, not a second before twilight. Note the hilariously non-PC and misspelled "Oreint Express" ride, a snapshot that Pilot felt compelled to take for a laugh. And I'm not quite sure how I've managed twenty two years without a wonderfully trashy deep fried something (in this case, a Snickers bar). It tasted of crispy sweetness and the first step to a heart attack, but I'm pretty sure that I regret nothing. All in all, a really fun night!

Omgosh these photos are so freakign adorable and that BBQ rib looks majorly delicious right now! YUMMM! The Golden hour pics were definitely gorgeous as there were no harsh lighting on the face but just add the perfect amount of lighting to your hair. Looks like you cuties had such a good time! :)

How fun! I can't believe he had never been to a fair before, that is definitely a must at least once! Great laid back outfit to be walking around the fair all night!
