HALO belt c/o HALO Belt, Champion top & shorts, Nike running shoes
Sometimes the best things occur when the clock strikes post meridian. There's something so exhilarating about biking or running at night, watching the world rush past you, street lamps and car lights becoming naught but neon streaks, while the BPMs are pounding away through your white earbuds. However, these nighttime activities can have a downside, which is, not being able to be seen unless you have a bike light or 3M reflectors. That's why I'm proud to say that my boyfriend (affectionally mentioned here as Pilot), the primary photographer for the blog, is the designer, creator, and founder of HALO Belt.
Not only is HALO the first LED belt designed for safety, it's also straight up cool. I'm more than a little in love with Tron, so these belts are helping me actualize what it'd be like to be in the Tron universe (okay, maybe just a little). As of now, a HALO belt can be procured at their Kickstarter page here, but there's only three days left for their special Kickstarter discount. Living in a large city, there's always a lingering fear that speeding cars won't be able to see you until it's too late. I can attest to the fact that while I'm still a bit afraid to bike in the more densely populated streets, I do feel safer with an intensely bright LED belt around my person.

Also! Not sure if you're into electro and dubstep as much as I am, but here's a small present in the form of some titular wobbly earcandy:
Hope you're all having a great week so far! Love you all. x

I need this belt in my life! Not really for a midnight run but I wanna turn the lights off in my room and bounce around on the bed! Whewwwwwwwwwwwwwww (like the little piggie).
ReplyDeleteOn a more serious note, this is a wonderful creation. Seriously, it's great for the runners and bikers at night but it's also great for bad Asian drivers like myself. Did I mention I can barely see at night. Halo will save lives!
