If you couldn't already tell, I'm extremely fond of (faux) leather anything. I paired this pleated skirt (a trend that I'm hoping is long lasting) with a simple tank and sparse silver jewelry. Like my other pleated faux leather skirt, I'm loving that I can pretty much pair them with almost any other top. But of course, leather anything is awesome in making otherwise basic pieces more interesting and edgy in the process.

Did you guys all have an awesome Halloween weekend? I hit up a really crackin' house party on Friday, with the boyfriend DJing. I went as Zatanna Zatara, a minor DC character; one of my favorite costumes I've ever worn. Together with my other friend (a fellow hardcore DC fan), we expressed extreme pleasure with a Catwoman that recognized me and displeasure towards a Nightwing and Batman that did not, haha. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take too many photos of my costume... but the fact that I barely remembered is indicative of an extremely excellent night, I think! Hopefully I'll get to don the blazer, corset, and fishnet tights again this Wednesday.

On a more serious note, I'm getting a bit worried the more I see photos of New York and the rest of the East Coast being struck by the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. I hope you, your friends, and your family are all safe, dry, and protected by this monster storm! Mother Nature, you unforgiving mistress.
