Love Culture sweater, Nasty Gal necklace, H&M trousers, Zara heels

I'll admit it. I used to be relatively uncertain of printed pants, for they seemed too be too gaudy and tacky for me, but they're actually a lot of fun when wearing other relatively tame pieces. I wanted to play around with structure and shapes for this outfit, so I played off the almost psychedelic black and white diamond pattern with a stacked multi-metal color triangle necklace and a slightly open-knit sweater. Going further with the triangle theme, I paired it all with these awesome Zara heels I'd bought earlier in the year. The pointed toe and back heel, as well as the asymmetrical cut, and (unseen in these photos) nude strap has easily made this one of my favorite shoes of 2012.

On another note, I definitely got unwanted flashbacks of high school geometry (I fared much better in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus through lots of studying although I was and still am, horrid at all things mathematical) came to mind when I titled this post... for example, the equilateral polygon, the cyclic polygon, and the proofs. Shudder. Also, I recently chopped a few inches off my hair and layered it, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I'm consoled by the fact that my hair does grow at an almost freakishly rapid pace, so I'm not too terribly fussed about it.

I'm particularly excited for this week because (like I said in my last post), I'll be seeing Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball tour with Madeon opening (two of my favorites!) and I'll be in LA for the long weekend to see Madeon again, general hanging out, and shopping and eating. Hopefully it'll be warm, compared to San Francisco's recent Arctic-like temperatures! Do you have any awesome plans coming up, lovelies? xo
