Just some shots of the outfit I wore before I took Pilot, le boyfriend, out to a small celebratory Valentine's Day dinner yesterday (my treat!). Red is a color I've never really gravitated to, and as I always like to be appropriately attired, I donned this vintage skirt and pulled it up to make a dress, complete with flirty skater pleats. Nothing too fancy or flashy here, just a classic dolled up date night look!

So what are your plans today? It's my mother's birthday, so Pilot and I are taking her and my father out to a dinner and show tonight, which was why we had a tiny celebration yesterday, rather than tonight. Although I vehemently agree with Leslie Knope that Galentine's Day is a very real holiday (because I love my ladies and you, of course!), I disagree that the actual Valentine's Day is for romantic love. I think V-Day is a day for overall love (i.e. love to your less annoying co-workers, to the neighbor that doesn't take your parking space, to my best friend aka my cat, etc). And if that doesn't make you feel better... remember that tomorrow is 50% of all those tacky pink and red wrapped candies and chocolates! xo
